Jetset1,
Yes I'm from the bay area. Spent my first few years in Georgia, family moved to the bay area, I moved down to Los Angeles for school and have just come back. My freshman roommate from college was from anchorage actually. She was really excited about all the rap stations in l.a. (I'm assuming there's not that many in alaska?)
BayouGal,
I have definitely been reading the Europe forum, mostly for the great trip reports. I haven't done much planning for my trip actually, just purchased the plane ticket a month ago, booked the hotels and train tickets. My brain is much too fried from studying for some of the planning that others go through!

Hi there jetset, we have finally gone from triple-digit temps to just around 89 degrees at the most. It is paradise here where I live. Well in comparison of that almost two week horrible heat spell. I don't envy those that are now getting it..midwest and the n/e coast. Take good care!!

Hi LoveItaly~ nice to hear from you too.. we are having cooler temps, showery at night, partial sun during the daytime. My lilies are happy, and my skin looks less freckled than last summer!
If I don't give up this posting addiction, I'll never have time for reading.. I need a clone!! One can travel, one can be cerebral, oh wait, I need one who can cook too,

Oh cripes jetset, I need a cook, a housekeeper, someone to take care of the laundry, a chauffer, a personal assistant..think that is it. And than I could just read fabulous books and spend as much time as I want on the computet, paint, and go play with friends whenever the mood hits without worrying about all of the "to do list", lol.

Hey BG, thanks for topping. What the heck have I been missing? The fun part of my trip is over and the work part has begun. This is the first good chance I've had to scan the board in a week. Top anything else I missed that was interesting.
Hope all are well. Still enjoying AZ, but stationary instead of driving all around this beautiful state. Trip report will have to wait a few days.

Any newcomers to the ever fascinating Crazy Train? It's Friday, so climb aboard.. what are you doing for heat relief if affected? It's only in the high 50's where I am, so no problemo, except misbehaving hair.. oh well. J.
