Hi,
You can rent out peoples apartments in the city...fairly reasonable. Try Craigslist.com look under New York and then under Vacation Rentals

Try the Hilton Garden Inn (on 8th between 49th & 50th). It is a newly renovated property & we just returned & paid $229/night. I'm not even sure it shows up on the Hilton website yet.

I don't know why matk topped this, but it is just about 9 months old.

You are correct, my bad...I thought it was a little unusual, I've not seen Patrick on here recently.

SA, the Hilton Garden Inn is $589 per night that weekend. It is one of the most expensive weekends a year to visit.

I don't think anything is close to reasonable during that time frame.

My guess is matk topped it because he wanted to plug a property. It is his lone post.
SAnParis, you might find Neapolitan an interesting and familiar poster.....

We always go to NYC the first week in December which is $$$$$$ and even I am surprised at the prices for 2006! SOmehow I lucked out and was able to redeem Marriott points for 4 free nights at the Courtyard Times Square SOuth where rooms are going for a ridiculous $500 a night.

Yeah, looks like matk21 is steering people to something . .

Patrick's post was on behalf of friends for last year, and he was able to help them find something so it worked out well. Patrick changed his ID over to Neopolitan, although he had a good argument with me in March denying that it was him and couldn't understand why I referred to him as Patrick - it was pretty lame, but funny!
