If you want to be on the wharf, Stagnaros has some great views. It's close to the end of the wharf. The restaurant has good food and is moderately priced. If the upstairs diningroom is open, it's much quieter than the main diningroom downstairs.

The Crow's Nest is right on the harbor so you can watch the boats sail in and out. They also have some good food.

Off the water, the Shadowbrook is a very nice place. A lot of people go there to celebrate special occasions.

Last fall we were going to San Jose to watch my son play football and we stopped at the Boardwalk for a few hours. We ate at one place on the wharf, I don't remember the name of it but it was really bad.

The view was very nice but the food was less than mediocre. I have heard good things about the Crow's Nest and may be trying it out on Sat. ***kim***

I live in Santa Cruz County and definitely Shadowbrook in Capitola is considered one of the best for special occasions.
The Crow's Nest on the harbor is a great location and very nice as well.
Also, Casablanca across from the Boardwalk. Good luck!

What kind of cuisine is Casablanca? Also, any recommends on nice hotels in the area? Is the Chiminade (sp) nice? What about the Westcoast property? Thanks!! ***kim***
