Angelina Guest House, Key West, FL

We are considering staying at the Angelina Guest House in Key West. Does anyone have any good (or bad) experiences they would like to share?

I think I walked passed it while I was there. I believe it is in the Bahama Village area (not the safest area of Key West). If I remember correctly it is a 2 story old house and I mean OLD. As we were walking around we would check out most guest houses but this one we decided against checking out.

I agree with the above post. I have a map of Key West and have tried to locate it precisely, but haven't been able to. Generally speaking, it's better NOT to stay in Bahama Village, which has a reputation as a high-crime neighborhood. I also see from their website that they don't have phones or televisions...that's not a very good sign either.

RB, Little Palm isn't even in Key West. It is a world class resort.

I'm in agreement that no phones or TV's in the room is not necessarily a negative sign in KW - it's actually appealing to some folks who are there to relax and not be bothered with the outside world. That said, I did look at Angelina Guest House location on the map and agree that it's not as good location. "High crime" is a relative term - we're not talking Sout Bronx here but other than Blue Heaven Restaurant, there are no locations in Bahama Village that I'd wander alone in after dark. It's possible or even likely that none of Angelina's guests have ever really had a problem but why stay in a less desirable location when there are so many good options available. repost with your desired price range and features and you'll get plenty of recommendations.
