If you can handle a small, old room and seen-better-days elevators, the milford Plaza is in a great location. Rates are great if you are an AAA member.

It is awful, isn't it? I couldn't get a room on Priceline in August, and I had bid up to $275.

I hear people saying oh big deal, what did you expect, but this is new to me. We never encountered these kinds of prices before the dollar tanked.

And when we added parking, even using the best rates we could find, it was way out of our price range to spend just one night in NYC in a hotel.

I would suggest an apartment rental for a week.
