Alternative to The Peabody in Memphis?

We wanted to stay at the Peabody but they're booked for our dates. Can anyone recommend another good hotel in that neighborhood?

Thanks for any assistance.

Thanks -- looks a little stylized -- any place a little blander? I'm thinking the Marriott Residence Inn. Anyone been?

Residence Inn is a bit out of the way if you are going to Beale St. Westin or Hampton Peabody Place may work for you??

Wow. I often have the minor complaint that so many hotels are too bland and could use more style. I honestly never realized some people actually prefer "more bland"!

Westin and Hampton . . . full. Must be a convention in town.

There is a Doubletree. I stayed there 10+ years ago and they were in the process of a hotel wide upgrade. Good location but can't speak to the condition of the hotel.

We liked the Talbot Heirs Guest House, right across the street from the Peabody. A lovely apartment for the price of a hotel room.

FWIW - The Madison is not a Kimtpon hotel, should anyone happen upon this thread at a later date.

I hope it's available. I really like Springhill Suites.
