To Meg and the normal people on this board, I found the trip to Alcatraz to be a nice diversion from the rest of SF. As other posters have pointed out, it's a lovely boat ride which gives you a great view, and an interesting tour and lecture of the history. They also have an interesting segment that's a bit of a surprise (so I won't give it away).

But the main thing is that,like everything else, some people will like it more than others. It's probably not for everyone, but there are very few attractions that are. If you have the time, I do think it's worth going.

OK boys and girls it's time to stop fighting. Why does every thread turn into nonsense? It's like no one can give an opinion anymore.

Something is a little fishy here. A quick count shows roughly a dozen posts in favor of going and four posts against, up till this Madge person showed up. Then all of a sudden there's a bunch of threads attacking as if nobody else says to go? Huh? Can't anyone count?

What makes it even fishier is how this one flaming poster likes to use names made up a several words, such as madgehasaproblem, pleaseanswerthequestion, madgepleaseshutup, and possibly also schoolmonitor, thinking no one else will notice.
