Albany train station to airport

We will be traveling by Amtrak from Poughkeepsie to Albany. Is there an easy way to get to the airport from the train station, other than a cab? How long does it take, and does anyone know the cost?

No, there is no easy way to get from the Amtrak station in Rensselaer to Albany airport.

You an take the bus, but that takes up to 1 1/2 hrs, and involves 1 or 2 transfers.

Amtrak from POK to Albany isn't cheap either - you may be better off renting a car 1 way. Total drive from POK to Alb airport is less than 2hrs.

The last time I transferred from Amtrak to Albany airport last October the taxi fare was around $31.00. There are plenty of cabs available at the station at most hours.

Thanks for the info, folks. Can't rent a car (daughter and friend are college students so too young), so it sounds like the only alternative is a cab.
