Just a note on the itinerary you posted on Jan 31st at 9:00 PM. You have the Alaska Wildlife Conservation Center out of place. It is located between Anchorage and Seward, not Denali and Palmer. It is well worth the visit and you could see it on your way to Seward or on your way back to Anchorage from Homer/Whittier.

As another poster said, it is located just off the Seward Hwy between the Girdwood and Portgage Glacier turn-offs. I have a few photos from it at http://www.worldisround.com/articles/355248/index.html if you'd like to get a flavor for what it is.

Thanks dwooddon, I loved your pictures. Been to Bryce, Beartooth, and Yellowstone, but was considering a 4 week
circle drive around Canada next year, as my hubby gets a
sabaticle. I'm keeping you under favorites to review your
itinerary. Still working on the details of the Alaska trip,
will put the Conservation Center where it belongs, looking
for a one night lodging between Fairbanks and Seward, was thinking of Palmer, but haven't found lodging I liked yet,
have reservations everywhere else already, including plane
tickets and car reservations, so we're set.

Thanks Juhi, didn't know that information was in one place,
I have been contacting them individually.

We are going to be staying at Alaskas Harvest B&B in Palmer. Haven't been there yet but the pictures look beautiful and the owner has been wonderful to work with.

Thank you henny16, I hadn't looked into that one since it was
way down the list on tripadvisors B & B recommendations, but
it only had one bad review by a person who didn't stay there.
Will definately be trying today to get reservations, right
price, and looks great.
THANK YOU
