Hi,
We are planning a trip to Alaska this summer and would greatly appreciate some accomodation (B&B or motels or hotels) recommendations in the following places - Anchorage, Seward, Talkeetna and Denali. Our budget is below $150 per night. We will be two adults and two kids.

It's hard to answer a question like this unless you can tell us what you want in lodging (amenities, size, confort level, etc.) For example, in Talkeetna, I like staying at the Roadhouse. Most of my friends hate it. For me, I like the historical context and meeting all kinds of people as they pass through and don't care a bit about luxury, TV's, etc.

The Harborview Inn in Seward has a lovely off-property duplex that is right accross the street from the bay.
The unit is beautifully decorated and has two bedrooms.

I responded on your other post. Please be more descriptive, are these little kids? only needing one bed for 2? 2 double beds are rare in B&B's- requiring 2 rooms. I also always stay at the Roadhouse, but only in the upstairs rooms- you would need 2 since the max is 3 persons. The downstairs rooms are very cramped and use a public bathroom.

Thanks a lot for all your responses. Our kids are 6 and 2 years old. We would need either a king bed or two beds. The rooms have to be clean and must have attached bathrooms. Don't need TV, or fridge or anything like that. We would need nearby parking space for a car too.

We foolishly arrived in Talkeetna without reservations. Even the expensive hotel was full. The visitors center sent us to these cabins.
http://www.gatecreekcabins.com/map.htm The rate was $125/two adults. Kids 6 and under are free. The cabin was immaculate with a view of Mt McKinley. The downside was they aren't near any restaurants. We brought the makings for a simple supper and breakfast with us. The cabins had everything you needed as far as dishes, pots and pans. It might be a little far out for you but OTH the kids would have plenty of room. You wouldn't have to worry about disturbing people in the next room!

A lot of B&B's aren't suitable for you kid's ages. So I would look at hotels. Anchorage, the Ramada's and Days Inn are bargains, Seward- several motels available- look at listings www.sewardak.org Denali Park- the Denali Park Hotel is a bargain, Talkeetna- use the visitor center for help.

I'm not an Alaska expert, but would recommend the following three from our trip with two boys:
Anchorage: Microtel near the airport. Not near anything just a place to sleep, but newer very clean property with nice continental breakfast we paid $119.00.
Denali: Sourdough Cabins. Small, basic, no TV, but clean/cute/convenient and only $99.00 booked through the Westmark website. Showers only in bathroom.
Seward: Not in town, but right on the beach about two miles south is the Alaska Saltwater Lodge. No TV, includes breakfast, variety of rooms. We stayed in a large view bedroom room for $139.00. Big room, fabulous view, kayak right off the beach in front.
