We rented from Alamo in Maui last month. They had the best rates among the companies located at the airport.

We used Alamo on Kauai this past January. They were the cheapest we found.

Alamo has been the cheapest rate we can find on the BI. We got an SUV for $25/day off Priceline for the end of May on the BI.

We were previously planning to go to Kauai rather than the BI and Alamo was the best rate there as well.

I got a better rate at Budget on Maui in December, using a 20% off coupon I found at www.smarterliving.com.

Priceline beat Alamo by a great deal when I used them in November.

hey... i rented from discounthawaiicarrental.com last year and paid $24.50/day for an economy car. the car company is thrifty, it was definitely the cheapest i found last year. this year the rate has gone up $2. check out the site.

Try Budget with the discount code U030183 and rate code of DL....I just booked a mid sized on Kauai with them and it came to $21/day before and $27/day after taxes and surcharges...I seem to remember that they had a great weekly rate of $145....I will see if I still have the email and give you the details.

ok...I just checked Budget for you...with 7 days in July and it came out to $128.99/week for a mid size (Pontiac Grand Am or similar)..and with taxes and surcharges to $170.19...I would say that is a great rate..
Btw, it is an internet only special

Alohhaa,
We used Priceline for our rental car for the first time this past Dec/Jan trip and got Alamo for the 1st week.

About $25/day for a brand new Chevy Impala.
The next 2 weeks we got National for $17/day for an old Grand Am.

Kika-you were there in Jan???

That's OK. I've been snubbed by lesser people at uglier places.

You probably didn't recognize me at Zelos or Ching Young since I lost about 30# since Yountville and was just wearing my Speedo and sandals. :-"

looks like 4 adults are going so far that number could stretch to 5-6. I thinks they are looking at a van rental but oh that compacs look like a sweet deal.
