Airport Transportation

Is there any transportation to and from Lihue Airport and Poipu that is less expensive than a cab?

It's about $36 + tip for a cab to Poipu. Depending on when you go, you should be able to get a rental car for about the same price.

Most visitors reserve a rental car for airport pickup and drop-off. You'll want a car to tour the island anyway.

You need a rental car, the Kauai Bus is terrible and does not go to most places tourists want to visit like Waimea Canyon or the North Shore (furthest north the bus stops is Hanalei).
