Other posters can correct me if I'm wrong, but I think there's no answer to your question. You have to shop around to find the cheapest fare. For example, I was going to Orlando in August 2000 on a short notice and Priceline turned out to be the only reasonable choice (I paid $150 for a Newark-MCO roundtrip with a stopover in Cincinatti). In August 2001 I planned ahead and I found the cheapest fare on Delta's website (direct JFK-MCO roundtrip for $115).

Good question. I'm tracking fares to Orlando as well (out of the DC area). Although Orbitz is helpful, it doesn't include Southwest, which frequently has the lowest fares or the friends fly free program. When are you going and from where? Maybe I can help you with the info I've already found!

I did some research for a friend whose family was going to Orlando the end of July. About that time Southwest was running the "friends fly free" promo and I was able to book all 6 of them for the total price of around $560 roundtrip for Nashville to Orlando.....that was by far the cheapest around for round trip fares.
But as the poster above noted, you just have to keep shopping around.
I registered for the flight specials on Southwest and travelocity.
