What do you mean by "unique" ceremony? Unique to me is on a sea kayak, next to a waterfall after a long hike, or 70 feet below water breathing on scuba tanks. You might get more helpful information by defining what you mean by "great" and "unique."

The best way to have a "great" wedding is to have one that clearly expresses what the bride and groom mean by their public declaration of commitment to one another. This is usually best done at a place that has clear meaning to the couple in stating how they feel about their new sense of commitment. If having a clown at a circus as the officiant best expresses how the couple feels, then I'd recommend a clown at a circus. Something like that would also declare to the guests, "The purpose of this ceremony is to allow me to say, 'Ha, ha: nobody else had a clown as the officiant. That makes my ceremony unique, which was the main purpose of my choice!'"

I say this as someone who will soon celebrate (and I do mean CELEBRATE) my 28th anniversary.
