40th bday in Vegas!-Bday dinner?

Going to be celebrating my 40th in Vegas...1st time there for both myself & hubby. We want to find out what you consider to be the "best of the best" for my bday dinner. $$$ not an obstacle.

Please share your most delicious, romantic spot with me!

P.S. We want to recognize what we're eating!

Piccaso or Prime in Bellagio. Get a table with the fountains view. You can't get anymore romantic than that!

My favorites! I have celebrated my birthday in LV the last 4 years!
Napa in the Rio-quiet & great service
Circo in Bellagio (my all time favorite)
Picasso-Bellagio- quiet & good food

We always tell the hotel(Bellagio) and the restaurant that it is my birthday, they usually try to get you a good table so you can see the fountains when in Circo..they know me now so they usually bring me a little cake with a candle(actually, I am one of those people that tells every single person that it is my birthday~lol)
also, wishing you Birthday Luck! the first time we were in LV,on my birthday,I hit a jack pot on one of the slot machines, a BIG one

Happy Birthday!Have fun~

If you want something a bit more formal in a more intimate setting, Le Cirque in Bellagio fits your criteria.

Circo, which is owned by the same family, is also a good choice but it is less formal and less "intimate" than Le Cirque.

While Picasso has a great reputation, and it is good, I found it a bit over-rated. The service wasn't that great for what is suppossed to be a 4-5 star restaurant. Having been to both, I'm taking my wife to Le Cirque for her upcoming birthday.

Prime is a great steakhouse. I'm not sure I'd describe it as romantic, though.

Another vote for Picasso (we found it VERY romantic). Get a table by the windows.
We also really liked Le Cirque but enjoyed Piccaso more. Either would be a great choice! Enjoy your b-day!

Scarlett - Napa has closed. I had planned on eating there during my last trip to Vegas but it is no longer there (I think that the owner died).

teewee - doesn't get as much coverage as some of the newer big name restaurants but my favorite is Nero's in Caesar's Palace - I've had a couple of my best meals there - one is the Chilean Sea Bass in a saffron sauce with couscous and artichoke hearts. Another was the grilled veal chop. The menu has several fish dishes and quite a few beef dishes (the surf and turf is also very good). Have fun.

I took my wife to Picasso on her 40th.
It was good, but not great by our tastes and standards. Portions, of course, were miniscule, so we left hungry. Service was good, not intrusive, but perhaps a bit less polished than I expected.
Atmosphere was very nice, quiet, elegant. USA Today rated this the best restaurant in the entire USA in 1998 or 99. It was very good, but it wasn't among the top 10 places I've eaten in the US. But again, tastes and individual preferences vary considerably.
Lots of great choices in LV.
