4 teens 2 adults miami for 2 nights

We are taking a cruise for X-mas break and will arrive in the Miami area 2+ days before we sail. We are taking our 2 daughters (15 and 17) and possibly 2 friends. I haven't been to Miami in 30 years so I imagine things have changed. What would be the best area to stay, hotel suggestions (about $150-$200 per room), entertainment???? Thanks for any ideas!

The fountainbleu has a very nice and lush water recreation area in back by the ocean. They have waterslides, etc.
They also have shops in the downstairs lobby.

Since you are looking for a hotel room for possibly six people, check out the condos at Sonesta Beach Resort in Sunny Isles or the new condos at the Fountainbleu.

The Bayside Marketplace is a very cookie cutter area to stay in and don't recommend it at all.

Thanks I'll see what the Fountainbleu has. Funny that was one of the popular hotels when I used to go as a child (35 years ago).
