.36 cents airline fares

I got a flash email from Smarter travel notining .36 cents Spirit airlines fares.

One was from Atlanta and the other was from Florida to Bahamas.

Anyone? for .36 cents at todays fuel costs I'd go just about anywhere!!!

Let me know if anyone goes!!

Is this one of those "plus $ 789.59 in taxes and fees"?

Nope...doesn't seem to be....and it appears the .36 cents is ROUNDTRIP.

You could book Atlanta to Orlando

Of course Spirit says book by April 30th ...and you can only fly on certain days...

check Spirit directly (I checked before I posted and it is there)

or www. SmarterTravel.com

No...with taxes included it's more like $198. Still not bad, though.

Delta currently has some special round trips Atlanta to Orlando at $ 158 plus $21 taxes and fees, for a total of $179. I'm always curious how they come up with those amounts for taxes and fees added on to these "come on" specials from other airline. That's why my not-so-facetious first post.

They undoubtedly "come up with" these fares and fees in order to squeeze out any competition.

I'm sure Delta would love nothing more than to see Spirit (and JetBlue) vanish into thin air.

Can someone point me to a date and route that actually has this 36 cents fare? And i think it's 36 cents or $0.36. Not .36 cents...

Yesterday you could get it FLL to Bahamas leaving on 5/4/08 and returning 5/8/08. I haven't searched it today.

Thanks, I saw it. For a roundtrip, it's $0.18 x 2 + $98.80 tax and fees = $99.16.

This is legit. The tax and fees are same on other airlines for FLL-FPO.

If the taxes and fees are the same as for other airlines, then Atlanta to Orlando should be $ .36 plus $ 21.00 for a total of $ 21.36. Now we're talking, if you can really get one like that.
