notbob - If you order a 5 way Cincinnati Chilli does have beans.
slangevar - The chilli is of Greek origin. It has cinnamon and cocoa in it. It is very different from regular chilli. It is seved over spagheti(sp) noodles topped with onions and cheese and served with Oyster crackers. Or you can get a Coney which is a hotdog with chilli and cheese. It is very tasty IMHO.

Wow - that will be a new experience! I'm so used to southern chili with the meat, beans and need for me to be in solitary confinement for 24 hours after I eat it.
But I like the sound of this! I think I might have to call a halt at the cheese and onions, though. Halfway through the second flight, my boyfriend would be wondering why he was dating me.

Yum...Cincinnati chili is the best! I'm partial to Skyline myself, but it's all good. And trust me, it is very different from the "chili" that most of us know. I like mine on spaghetti, with lots of onion and cheese. Heaven!

Tracy - I agree, Skyline is the best. But Gold Star will do in a pinch.
Since I live in Seattle, I make a big batch from scratch 2-3 times a year and freeze some. It is really good, but not quite as good as being at Skyline.

Cincinnati chili is ordered by "ways."
2 way is spaghetti and chili
3 way, spaghetti, chili and cheese (that is my own favorite)
4 way adds the beans and 5 way adds onions (I may have 4 and 5 way mixed up because I never order them).
There is debate among Skyline and Gold Star fans. I like them both and Gold Star is at the airport.
BTW, I heard the recipe is Armenian but it could be Greek - the guy who invented it was Armenian I believe. In any case, it is sometimes imitated but never equaled. Enjoy!

Wow - who knew something so cool could be found at the airport?!
basingstoke2 & TRSW - thanks for the information. Whether or not we leave the airport, we're definitely going to give this famous dish a try (and I might even go for the 3 way).
