3 day Door County, Wisconsin photo trip report, with captions
Hello! My wife and I just returned from a three day Door County trip and I just put together a photo (with explanatory captions) trip report. If you want to read the captions, just click on each photo. We had a very nice, relaxing time. We stayed in Egg Harbor at the Landmark resort and spent time - when not relaxing in the pool or hot tub! - venturing around each day to local state parks (Peninsula SP, Whitefish Dunes SP, and Newport SP), as well as a string of tiny harbor towns - Egg Harbor, Fish Creek, Ephraim, and Sister Bay ... all of which are represented in the album by at least a few photos. We are from the west Chicago suburbs, so this was about a 4 1/2 hour drive for us. We had only been there once before together as a couple - many years ago in October to do a bit of leaf peeping. It was so gorgeous that autumn with all the oranges and yellows in every direction. This trip had a different feel compared to that one over 25 years ago ... but it had its own charms in the summer time, especially with cherries being in season. Cherries, cherries, cherries everywhere you look! Which was great for us, since we love them!

If you spot any errors in the descriptions, please let me know and I will be most appreciative - and if you have and questions, by all means, please shoot them my way and I will do my best to answer them within a day or two, most likely.
Door County deserves its reputation as a beautiful place to spend a few days. It's a great place for families - or couples just looking to chill out for a long weekend - or more.
Happy travels!
Mike

We were only able to have one day in Door County when we went. I loved it. We stayed in Ephraim and felt it was a great place to stay. We did see quite a bit, but not at your slow pace. I can only hope that maybe we'll be able to go again and spend more time. I loved the photos and the commentary. Thanks for posting.

I do light editing, if needed using Photos, which came loaded on my iMac desktop. I crop for aspect ratio - and then make light adjustments usually for light, shadows, highlights and saturation. ... Glad you enjoyed the Wisconsin photos!
