Thanks so much for posting these. They brought back so many memories of our trip there several years ago. We too visited the Merry cemetary, the new monastery and stayed in a private home. This remains one of our all time favorite trips; we hope to return some day.

I enjoyed them all and I liked that you had a photo of the carvings. I found the woodwork fascinating too. Looking forward to the report.
PS - I just found the thread you posted to me about rental cars from late February and people were even topping it. I apologize for missing that one. My wife and I had headed off for an "occasion" trip to NYC and it must have sunk before we got back and I caught up on things. Again, apologies for missing it.

I think a lot more people would see these gorgeous photos if you re-posted znd added to the heading and made it say something about photos of the most wonderful and remote region of Romania. I certainly had never heard of the Maramures area until I planned a trip there.
