2 nts/ 1 1/2 days enough for Sedona?

Next May, we are planning a trip to northern AZ, flying into PHX. We will immediately head to Sedona from the airport, arriving there about 2PM. We plan to stay 2 nts and then head to GC for 2 nts, then Canyon de Ch for 2 nts, then Monument Valley for 1 and then over into SW CO. Was wondering if 1 1/2 days is adequate for the Sedona area. We are a senior couple, not hikers but walkers, don't mind driving and are just interested in seeing the sights.

Thanks,
isy

I have twice been to sedona. Once as a day trip and once for a short 2-night stay. You will thoroughly enjoy your brief visit. We were able to take one of the jeep tours and then take a hike/walk the next day. The jeep tours take you t the breathtaking views and give you a good feel for the place. Your tour guide should tell you where the nice walks are. I think more than 3 nights for the trip would have been more than we needed. But you WILL want to go back! it is beautiful!

Agree with kabobox that you have enough time for and initial visit. We were there for 3 fulls days once and felt we could have done everything we wanted in a day less.

I "third" the advice given. We were there for a day/night/morning, during which we poked around some shops/galleries (we actually were not very fond up uptown Sedona -- too many t-shirt/souvenir shops), went to Slide Rock, hiked in one of the canyons, and generally saw the red rocks/views. Unless you're spending time hiking, once you've seen it, you've seen it (and the Red Rocks are a spectacular sight)!

A little time there is better than no time at all.
