1st timer to Vegas

IN LV last wknd of Sept. figuring on high 80's for temps. Don't want to see old has been shows...staying at Luxor...want to go club (late 30's) but don't want to be kids chaparones(sp) but like to have a good time.
So, to me it the trip looks like sleep by pool during day, shop later in day, take nap, eat, and club it till xa.m.
any thoughts?

Did everyone forget Mandalay Bay or Hard Rock Cafe? You want some adult fun - you'll get it at nightclubs at either casino. I just saw on the Mandalay website they have this new hip bar thing - outdoors poolside. Check it out. Late September will be fabulous under the stars - much less stuffy than inside a nightclub.

Have fun! I love Vegas!

We stayed at the Luxor a few months ago - ask for a free room upgrade. We stayed in the Tower (nicer rooms) for $65 a night. The pool area is huge, but not too much shade. Also, none of the pools are over 4' deep, so no diving.
As for music, we had a lot of fun just wandering from one casino lounge to the next. Some had really good bands. New York New York had a nice mix of different kinds of music from cool jazz and blues, to loud house music, to rowdy piano sing along. Walking into the Luxor lobby is a peaceful oasis after the noise and tackiness of the Excaliber, Boardwalk, etc.
