1 night stay in Carmel in June?

Hi Fodorites! We (my husband, 18 month old, and I) are headed to Carmel for a wedding in June and are having trouble finding a place to stay for 1 night in Carmel (or environs); most places we've looked at require a 2 night stay on weekends.

Any suggestions? Thanks!

You'll have to expand your search geographically. I'd start first in Monterey.

Here's one: http://www.carmelgardencourtinn.com/
We had one night stays at both the Carmel Garden Court and San Antonio House, on summer weekend dates. Nice places, both of them. Also, check Best Western's Carmel properties and Day's Inn Monterey.

Please type in *Carmel* in
the search box above.
You will find several current
discussions.
(While the search feature
isn't always perfect, it is totally possible to plan full trips from searching, without asking
a single question.
I do it all the time
and am very grateful.)

I moved to the Best Western Bay View in Carmel for one night and enjoyed it. Try the Best Western site - or use kayak.com as a search engine to see what's available for your date.

June is a very busy time, here. Most of the inns require two nights stay on the weekends and holidays. You might want to try Quail Lodge, Carmel Valley Ranch, Bernardus Lodge or Monterey & Pacific Grove hotels. Why not stay two nights? It's too beautiful not to spend at least two nights.

Most nice places will usually require 2 nights (some not so nice ones will too)

If you can - stay 2 nights - it will greatly expand your options.

Three weeks ago I was able to stay one night at the Tickle Pink Inn, I was very pleased that they allowed us to stay for just one night here on a Fri. night. Our stay was perfect in every way here! Enjoy your time in Carmel. ***kim***

We stayed at the Best Western Bay View, as trippinkpj had suggested to me, and it was a nice little place ... pretty room with fireplace in the corner, and there was a cute little breakfast room. Very reasonable for the area, and not your typical Best Western.

I stayed there too for one night - after one night at the Cypress Inn. I loved Carmel so much, I didn't want to leave. I cancelled my hotel for the next leg of the trip, but my room at the Cypress Inn was already reserved. I passed the Bay View on the walking tour and liked the location. The rate was GREAT - and they had no problem with a 1 night stay.

I agree. Not the usual BW. Pretty room. Fireplace. Lots of flowers in the flower box. Good free breakfast bar. A find, for sure!

Glad to hear the positives about the BW Bay View Elsiemoo and Starrs, and that it's still a good Carmel option.
