Saving Money
If i was planning a long term vacation in another state, what would be the best option for housing? Should i just rent a house? nut then i have to buy furniture and appliances.... What about a vacation home? but then im spending a ridiculous amount of money because the good ones are like 4,00 a week witch is more than a months rent here at home! Should i get a hotel room? but how are 12 people gunna fit in there?

There are many different options but what works best for your situation depends on many variables. You haven't given us enough info:
How "long" is this "long vacation"?
What state will you be visiting?
Will you be staying in or near a major city, a more rural area or an area noted for tourism?
When will you be making this trip?
What type of budget do you and your travel companions have? FYI - Your example of $4,000/week when divided by 12 comes to about $333 per person per week which is a pretty reasonable price for a week's accommodations in a "vacation area". Just how much are you looking to spend for 12 people?

Well It's quite difficult to suggest as you didn't mentioned in which "another state" you are going to visit & also most imp for how many days you are going to visit? What is your fix budget for it? I guess you need to provide some more info so members here can help you in better way.
