Portable steamer?
I unpack immediately when we arrive at our hotel, but my clothes always seem to get wrinkled. I hate to iron, especially on vacation, but I end up doing it anyway of course. I've been seeing these portable "travel" steamers around and have been wondering about how good they really are. Does anyone have any experience with them and would you recommend getting one?

yes.. the travel steamers do work.. they take a little longer.. and it depends on the fabric just how well it does work.. if it's light weight clothes you could use a shower with a little "HOT" water (steam) this worked well for me in Veges..
good luck and i hope this helps.. oh they also have this stuff that you can spray on your clothes before packing them that helps with wrinkles.. it does a pretty good job also.. i'm sorry i can't remember the name but i know i found it in the laundry isle.. close to the starch spray.

Mine is a Franzus which looks like it's been discontinued. (I exchanged the Franzus model with the two handles that swing away for one with a single handle.) Best bet is probably to read reviews on Amazon.
I've taken mine on trips for years and it works very well. I always also pack a hanger with a swivel hook and skirt clips as often the hotel hangers are useless.

I travel only with clothes/fabrics that pack well and don't need ironing.
I pack very light and would not want the weight of an iron or steamer either one.
If I'm desperate, usually you can borrow an iron from housekeeping, if there's not one in the hotel room already.
