Hey !!!!
I drove to many of the parks in Southern Utah.
Both Rims of the Grand Canyon.
Palm Springs
Las Vegas
Yuma Arizona
Tombstone Arizona
Monument Valley
The Four Corners
Not as a Snowbird, but for holidays
Tucson
etc.

You have to come to Banff and Lake Louise and Jasper and the Columbia Icefields.
I will vouch for you at the border.

Glacier Skywalk outside of Jasper

The Skywalk and Tourists.

Lake Louise ,... blue green water, just waiting for you.
But you have some very nice places in Colorado... I have been there, sorry I missed you.

Puerto Vallarta. With a bit of a disclaimer. We did visit on a cruise some 30 years ago and loved it. In fact, PV probably was a big reason why we became enamored with Mexico and Latin American culture. It was the first place where we set foot on in Mexico. But so far, after those 30 years, we've had little desire to go back. And even now, after 10 years of living in Mexico and only a day's drive to PV, there are so many more interesting places yet to see. So, I guess when I read the title about places you could easily visit but didn't, I didn't necessarily take that to mean places you'd wished you'd visited but didn't. Won't rule it out someday, however.

Percy, the Canadian Rockies have been moved to the top of our travel wish list! We would also return to Vancouver which we enjoyed on other trips.
We have friends we have been invited to visit in Kamloops. We all met on a wonderful trip to Vietnam and they used to spend winters in AZ where we live part time.

I made the opposite choice on Iguazu vs Buenos Aires and regret it. Mostly because I should not have spent more than two days in BA. But I have been to many other major South American cities and BA is the one I would not go back to.
I haven't been to Japan so that would be at the top of my regret list. I would have liked to visit India but probably 30 years ago, not today! Neither one would be "easy".
Australia would have been 'easy' from New Zealand, but it isn't anywhere near a regret list.

Percy, I have been to the Dead Sea and, while fun, I would not call it a "must do." It was not terribly scenic although floating around was a kick.
My husband and I did not take the train up the Jungfrau as we were in Switzerland on our honeymoon and funds were tight, although we could have splurged. We have always regretted it. Maybe some day!

We could see the Dead Sea in the distance from Mt. Nebo in Jordan so wanted to see more of it.
We got to the top of the Jungfrau and it was quite an experience. It did have a wow factor for sure.
In the snow and cold there were many Indian women in sandals and saris who were freezing and a group of British women who basically did a strip show up there. So much for the solitude of a natural space!

Back in 1984, when I was backpacking around Europe with my Interrail pass, I had plans to visit both Prague and Dubrovnik. I started feeling a little pressed for time, and was worried I couldn't do both. Well, I thought, it took some effort to get a visa to get into Czechoslovakia, and who knows if I'll be able to do THAT again! But Yugoslavia will always be there. So much for my powers of foretelling geopolitical events. The only part of the former Yugoslavia I saw was Zagreb because it was directly on my train route.
Having said that - I am so, so glad I had the experience of visiting Prague when I did. But I regretted Dubrovnik for years...it is still on my wish list.

Y’know, weirdly, it’s less somewhere I haven’t visited but more something I have. I walked through Notre Dame several times but mostly focused on the crèche scene. Because it’s notre dame, right, it’ll always be there...
well, it’s going to be a while until it’s restored and even then it won’t be the same...at least I did climb the stairs to see the gargoyles...
I really wish I had visited Pompeii. And the Venetian islands. But that was the trip that I had an awful lung bug, unfortunately.

I have never missed any place. I have pre-plan all the things and just note them down so as I could not miss any opportunity to go to a place which I have never been to. So, that's an amazing part of a road trip that you can change your direction to any place which you feel you would like to go.

Two regrets really spring to mind.
The first was that for the last 4 years of my working life I sat at my desk literally looking out over the Tower of London, maybe 100 metres away. Never got around to actually visiting.
The second was when we spent several months travelling around Argentina. It had always been an ambition to travel the entire length of Ruta 40, some 5200km from the La Quiaca on Bolivian border in the north to Ushuaia, the worlds southernmost city. We did travelled all the way down to Bariloche in Patagonia, mostly by bus, occasionally by car but got sidetracked and decided to cross to the east coast to see the whales around Peninsula Valdez. Have returned twice since then but always at the wrong time of year - maybe next year😎

Places I could have easily visited but did not
A place I dream of visiting since many years is Australia. It's definitely in my list of countries to visit!!!
I hope could visit it easily, moreover I have friends living there. One reason more to make up my mind!
