And what's up is dreams really do come true.

And it comes with some of the best feelings in the world.

But what about our dreams that don't come true?

Maybe time has passed us by...

Maybe we didn't want them that badly to begin with...

Maybe we just didn't have the bandwidth...

The courage...

The wisdom...

The time...

The guts...

The support...

The chance...

Maybe...

What if...

If I can do it over again...

Happy 2022!

Hope everyone is having a wonderful start to the new year.

If I may introduce you to Sisu!

And Sisu, meet the Fodor's community!

As you all see, Sisu is bright, radiant and glorious!

She's a Virgo. She reminds me of Sisu from the movie, Raya the Last Dragon.

She gets moved around the house from time to time but she thrives best by the entrance of the library pictured here. She gets to be around everyone's favorite books.

Her current favorite read is Martha Beck''s, "The Way of Integrity: Finding the path to your true self".

Notice how her alignment goes east west east west.

She's a funny plant.

Sisu may not be linear but what is obvious to us all is that her natural trajectory is north.

Many wild plants are highly nutritious and can be even more nutritious than many store-bought fruits and vegetables.

Hi again!

When I started this thread I told myself never to post when I'm PMS-ing or have just indulged in some delightful herb.

There's a reason why, of course, because you don't want to say or do something you'll regret... something too emotional, something maybe that makes sense to you but not to anyone else. ..

Next up, Gemini.

I am wholly captivated by your kite show. It's literally heaven on earth. Thank you, kerouac.

The kite festival returned this year after being cancelled the previous two years due to some sort of funny flu that was going around. There were far fewer kites this year than the previous times I have gone because I supposed that it was just authorized maybe 2 months ago while the participants need more warning since the vast majority hold full time normal jobs and need to get vacation time. And the same went for all of the kite merchants and other vendors who show up for such things. Anyway, it takes place for 2 weeks at the latter end of April when we are not having pandemics.

Berck-sur-Mer is perhaps the ugliest seaside resort in northern France (postwar concrete reconstruction), but it has another incredible attraction that draws in the crowds (but far from the kite area).

What would be the prettiest?

I like how vast the sand area is and that it has a hospital nearby. I wonder if Berck gets sleeper waves. I learned about sleeper waves not so long ago during a pit stop beach drive in Bodega Bay up north. They creep and are super dangerous!

The seals remind me of the sea lions in San Francisco. My family never skipped them when tourists were in town. I love them they're iconic to the Wharf and smell like vacation to me.

I recently read that it's not them that stink but their surrounding habitat. I can't seem to find the article but it was so interesting it blew my mind!

This has been a very soulful experience, humbling and beautiful.

Thank you to every reader for your supportive energy, words and love.

I'd especially like to express my deepest gratitude and respect to kerouac and denisea whose trip reports have brought immense light during a very dark time.

Next up, Libra. .. the Resident CEO

I could use some advice on this part but first I'm going to luxuriate in the forest and see family.

Nice to see the return of this random thread which had disappeared inexplicably.

I'd like a bit of cooler weather like at the Commonwealth cemetery in the Somme for Chinese workers who died in France.

This has been a process. Thank you for your patience and understanding.

To all the CEO energies I have received from the universe and continue to receive -- Thank you!

Someone asked me if I really believe in astrology. The answer is I believe in astronomy. I use astrology as a tool to be more open minded and expansive, to be willing to listen to different perspectives. It's how I learn more about myself so I can better connect with others. I suppose you can say it's a magical mix of spiritual and reality.

In your natal chart, the Midheaven is your 10th house of career. It's the highest point... your contribution to the world.

So for my final post, Taurus.

I'll try to finish by next, next Wednesday. Hope everyone is having an amazing weekend.

Hello again everyone!

It feels like a lifetime ago when I started this thread.

So simply speaking...

My biggest contribution to the world is to keep taking care of myself, my mental health and my well being so I'm so full of love it's overflowing to everyone else around me.

No time for anything but good vibes and being surrounded by encouraging, supportive, uplifting and compassionate people, projects and art.

And that is it.

I hope you enjoyed the plant show. In spite of the flamboyance of this thread, my intention is that it cultivates peace, love and lots of light and unity moving forward.

I laughed a lot doing this, had the time of my life, also felt an array of intense emotions including fear of posting but I persevered --- true to the indulgent, consistent and unstoppable nature of Taurus.

A big thank you goes to other travelers and writers all over the world who inspire me, fellow Fodorites, and the entire Fodor's Team for always being an empowering force with your insightful advice, comments and content. And of course without the Moderators and Administrators where would we be.. . thank you for holding space for me.

I feel like this is an Oscar speech but more significant lol if I can finish a report on Fodor's I can do anything.

And now for the super grand finale...

RC and I are united and excited to share with you our favorite non profit group we continue to support.

It's the the Himalayan Cataract Project which is one of the most spectacularly humane and compelling projects anyone can appreciate --- especially a travel lover!

Both videos below are fascinating from the very beginning but the ending when they're able to see again is really moving. It's beyond magic!

It's the utmost in wondrous beauty ... a total love loop. The absolute best of humanity making things happen one pair of eyes at a time.

Every time I watch any of their videos I still get goose bumps and feels like I'm seeing it for the first time.

If there's a will, there's a way.

Thrilling to think it's actually possible to eradicate this kind of blindness within our lifetime.
