Anyone taken a Brendan Tour?
I've been searching tour companies and wanted to know if anyone out there has taken one of the Brendan Tours? I'm thinking of an Egypt/Nile Cruise next year and being a solo traveler decided that a tour would be the way to go. Also, I'm a semi-budget traveler and don't want to spend a small fortune. In other words, I'm not into "roughing" it and would prefer hotels that are not miles away from the sites. Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated as always!!!!

I would suggest you post your question on the Africa/Middle East Board where you can search thru many threads regarding travel to Egypt. You'll also find a number of recommendeded tour operators you may wish to contact as options to Brendan Tours and probably more competitive pricing.

I have not, but my parents have gone with them a few times, though not to Egypt. My mom does very thorough research and gets the best deal for her money, but she never sacrifices quality to save a $1.98. My parents do not rough it either.
Brendan is the budget line of Globus, which my parents also use. Brendan/Globus is a big well established travel name that I trust.

Maupentour also offers a really fabulous trip to Egypt. You pay everything up front and then everything is covered, including 3 meals a day and great hotels. They also use a super boat on the Nile w/ balconies. I traveled w/ them about 4 years ago and it is still one of the best tours I ever took. Small groups too!!!

Thanks atravelynn for the info! I didn't post on the Africa/Middle East board because I was looking for anyone who had taken one of Brendan's tours to any destination and wanted their feedback. I haven't found anyone who has mentioned a Brendan tour on the Africa board. I have the info on a Maupentour however I like the flexibility of eating some meals in restaurants I choose. Thanks for the feedback ya'll!!
