Wanting tips for trip to Brazil
My husband and I are planning a 2+week trip to Brazil in June and would love any tips. We will be going to Rio, Salvador and Fernando de Noronha. We are interested in any suggestions for lovel but not highest end hotels, things to do and travel between the places. Also interested in a possible 4th place along the coast.
Thanks in advance,
Cynthia

As you appear to be in S.America I presume you have some experience. I live in South of brasil for approx. 4 months each year and frankly I would advise against your visit.
There is nothing to be seen that you cannot experience elsewhere in S America without the hassle and security issues
Rio topographically is beautiful and it should be a must visit but security is a major issue to the extent that you tend to restrict your activities.
I have visited Salvador twice ,the second time with my daughter who was horrified with the prostitutes and drug addicts in the main tourist area. The beaches are dangerous
No hotels in Brazil are particularly good so I would suggest you do stay in the high end establishments
Fernando De Noronha is wonderful,if I was you I would spend all my time there but beware it is expensive.
I personally have been mugged on 2 occasions .once .inside Sao Paulo airport the other on Ipanema in Rio
Good luck if you do go.Stay safe

Was in Rio yesterday.
Stayed at Hilton one night in Copacabana.
Second night in center of town. Not nice hotel.
We paid extra attention but ended up totally relaxed in the ipamena beach neighbourhood.
We took a helicopter tour which was fabulous.
Wish I had stayed longer.
Maybe just lucky.
