Patagonia

Trekking in Patagonia now. Just thought I’d say hi. It’s spectacular.

We’ve been in Chile thus far - through today(we’re at Lago Grey right now). Tomorrow we head to Argentina.

Our last hike is tomorrow - then we leave the group and fly to Ushuaia. It’s been great.

Hey - glad you are loving it. Are you trekking with a company or on your own?

lyntay, the trek was over (unfortunately) months ago. We trekked with a company - Mountain Travel Sobek. We tried to plan it on our own, but we didn't really understand Patagonia trekking -- we'd only done one long trek before, on the Salkantay Trail in Peru, and this was very different, logistically-speaking. The Peru trek was lodge to lodge, no roads or cars except in one spot. In Patagonia, we were often in the van. Only once, for 2-1/2 days, were we on a trail where there were no cars (provisions brought in by horses). It was great though - we loved every bit of it.
