The greatest ever Internet expert on tourism in Argentina, my great friend DrDawggy, posted on TA about this thread:
http://www.tripadvisor.com/ShowTopic..._District.html
However, he neglected to mention WHERE this had been posted. I guess he was afraid of being stripped of his TA "Destination Expert" title. LOL!!!

It was a said day for the world not only America, that really changed the world that we live in. Im currently living in Argentina and there is huge American population down here. Its a gorgeous country I would recommend anyone to come and spend some time to get to know the whole country.
Im heading to Rosario this weekend which is the birthplace of Che Guevera and Lionel messi.. should be interesting. Cheers

Well ... I guess my response is better late than never.
Thanks for the thoughtful remembrance. We are different here in NYC than we were pre-9/11 ... perhaps a bit more defiant than people ever thought we were ... but the friends in Argentina have remained steadfast, and we look forward to our 9th or 10th trip to Bs As just 2 months from now.
Our real estate in Bs As is holding its value, although long term tenants have become rather difficult to secure.
Hi to all my former TA correspondents ... I guess we got well flushed from THAT venue.

It's been a while since I visited the SA Forum, thus my late reply. It's kind of you to think of Americans on this sad anniversary AVR.
No plans to visit BsAs again, but hopefully we will return again someday. We both love the city. We had a wonderful time last January. So nice to meet your lovely wife and to spend Sunday with both of you. Also often think of our very intereseting GTG that rainy night!
