crellston - I've only got 1 night in Potosi - in the evening of second day I transfer to Sucre.

I've been looking into Potosi and was thinking of doing the mine tour - specifically this one: http://bigdealtours.blogspot.co.uk/

I've an interest in this and would like to do it, but I've read about child labour, poor working conditions and unsafe parts of the mine. I'm not sure if this is just internet hearsay, but as much as the trip appeals to me from the viewpoint of seeing an actual working mine, I don't want to be condoning unethical practices.

Do you knwo much about this?

Hi, apologies but I forgot to thank everyone that helped me plan this trip.

I'm back now for approx 8 months so this is a long overdue thanks:

Thanks to everyone who helped me with this itinerary. Your help was much appreciated.

So, I loved the trip from start to finish. Santiago is a city I want to love, but it seems to be unrequited love - the underground was out of service due to a fire and the heat was overpowering. Depite that I still loved wanderign about the pleace. It is a shame I did not get to the Pinochet museum as I was really looking forward to it. I might be back though!
The Atacama was a great experience although again as an Irishman I don't do heat every well. But it was worth it.
Uyuni was fantastic although I was disappointed not to see the reflections.
I loved Potosi - lovely place. I done the mine tour as well with BigDealTours and it was great. Really well organised and I felt safe and did not see any child workers. Glad I done it.
La Paz was breathtaking. One of my fav cities.

My tours in Bolivia were organised by Transturin who were fantastic and their Quality rep was in constant contact with me. The guides were excellent too - probably got increased attention as I was a solo traveller

I would go back to South America in a heartbeat.
