Aerolíneas Argentina's "Visit Argentina" pass

In the thread titled "Please help witih advice on tweaking our 2 week holiday in Argentina...thank you!", the OP mentions a way to get cheaper flights within our country with Aerolíneas.

This is a pass or program called "Visit Argentina" and it has been around for quite a while.

What Herminator101 (the OP) probably missed is the small print which specifies that "To purchase this pass an international one way or return ticket to Argentina with Aerolineas Argentinas is required."

In other words, Aerolíneas will sell you these cheap tickets for local flights ONLY if you use Aerolíneas for your INTERNATIONAL flight.

This is in no way related to the savings I believe (not 100% sure) can be obtained by paying with our local currency (pesos) for your local flights with any airline, once you are in Argentina.

IMO, you should, if possible, avoid Aerolíneas altogether.

Have a great time in our country.
