Hotels in Ipanema

Hi,

I'm looking for a good hotel in Ipanema. I'm looking to spend around $100 USD, but am willing to spend up to $150. Can anyone suggest some hotels/pousadas for me? I'm looking for somewhere safe. Thanks.

Well, for that price I would recommend the Arpoador Inn. A little run down and small but probably has the best location of any hotel in Rio. Right in between Copacabana and Ipanema in Arpoador, right on the walkway of the beach, great cafe out front, lots of activity out front , good spot.

We stayed at the Praia Ipanema for around that budget. Very nice, modern hotel. All the rooms had balconies which was surprisingly rare for Rio, and we loved sitting out at night overlooking the beach! More info and pics in our Rio post at http://patrinadoestheglobe.blogspot.com/

We used Promenade Visconti recently and were very pleased with this choice. A block from the beach. But I see it's a bit over your range. But so is the Praia Ipanema, it's much higher.
