Do Not Miss San Diego Attractions?
I will be in San Diego this week staying downtown at the Manchester Hyatt. Are there any Do Not Miss things downtown?
I'm mid 30s and hubby is mid 40s athletically fit so walking everywhere is not a problem.
Does anyone know anything about the scenic bike trail? We were thinking about biking all 26 miles.
Thanks for any advice! I've been lax on planning this trip.

Hi GoTravel,
One of my favorite things to do in the city is to take the ferry to Coronado (it leaves from the ship terminal at Harbor and Broadway, about a half mile north of your hotel) and have a leisurely dinner on the outdoor patio of Il Fornaio, which gives you a stunning view of the skyline across the bay. The ferry ride back to downtown is breathtaking at night.
It's been very warm here the past couple of days--hopefully it will continue for you!

If you have your bikes, take them with you on the ferry to Coronado and ride around town. It is the perfect biking village...wide streets, adorable homes, and of course Coronado beach and the Hotel del on the opposite side of the island from where you arrive on the ferry.
Another great ride for people watching is the boardwalk from South Mission Beach up to La Jolla. Even though the water is cold, there will still be lots of activity there.
