Planning trip Singapore, have some questions

My wife and I are considering a trip to Singapore. We've been there many years ago (maybe 26 year), but it looks like there have been so many changes since then that a destination trip (maybe a week or so) is in order. Just in the planning stage now, and your answers to a few questions would be a big help.

As some of you might remember from our month long trip to Paris in 2008 (there's a trip report out there somewhere), my wife was using a wheelchair at the time. She has since graduated to a walker, but stairs and long distances are still an issue to be considered. What accommodations (not talking about hotels here) are available for handicapped travellers at the various attractions in the city? We would, of course, travel with the walker, and use cabs for particularly long distances, but might rent a wheelchair (assuming that's an option) for long sightseeing days.

I realize that, being so close to the equator, temperatures in Singapore vary between hot and hotter, but what about other seasonal changes? More specifically, is there a rainy season, dry season, etc. Is there a best time to visit?

Thank you for any help you can provide. I'm sure I'll have more questions, but this is a spur of the moment decision (yeah, a lot of our trips are), and I haven't had time to think of them yet.

As for wheelchairs / access issues, a decent guidebook might prove useful. Web-sites for most venues are likely to provide information about wheelchair access. For example, here's the info for Gardens by the Bay: https://www.gardensbythebay.com.sg/e...-services.html

Here's my favorite site for weather / climate data: https://weatherspark.com/y/114655/Av...ore-Year-Round

Although I didn't have any mobility when I visited Singapore, you might find some useful infomration in my trip report. The section on Singapore starts with post # 12.

Hope that helps!

You can visit Pulau Ubin. It is a rustic island..you can explore traditional kampongs (villages), lush mangroves, and scenic cycling trails. It's my fav place there.
