There are literally dozens upon dozens of places that have beaches and are warm at that time of year. The contributors here need more information from you in order to make meaningful suggestions.

Where are you traveling from?
How long a trip are you planning?
How much time are you willing to spend to reach your intended destination?
Are you willing to fly to reach your destination or do you just want to drive?
What type of budget do you have for accommodations and airfare, if required?
What type of activities interest you?

Some general suggestions are:
Southern Florida
Mexico
Any Caribbean Island
Costa Rica, Roatan, Belize or other coastal countries in Central America
Hawaii
Tahiti, Fiji or other islands in the South Pacific
The Seyschells
Mauritius
Phuket
Brazil, Peru or other coastal areas in the northern portion of South America
Galapagos Islands
Caines or any of the Resort islands off the coast of Australia

We would like to go someplace that has g Great beaches but also has other things to do historical stuff or walking hiking etc. We are flying to wherever we are going. We would go probably for a week. Mostly considering one of the Caribbean islands although Hawaii is a stretch possibility. Would really like to go to Europe however with the Covid we’re not sure that we would consider it.

COVID is everywhere, I would not let that stop you coming to Europe. Lots of places have great beaches in Europe but it is winter, so swimming in the sea is out for all except the most hardy. Retired people in Europe who want warmer climes head to the Canary Islands, Madeira, its a good time to go to Athens and see the sights, there are beaches nearby or Crete (Chania) or Cyprus, south of Spain, south of France. Antigua & Martinique have historical sights if you are considering the Caribbean.;

If you want beaches and walking/hiking, etc., look into Costa Rica and Mexico.

Europe is not tropical, it doesn't have warm beaches in winter, either. If you go to the Canaries, why bother, that isn't why you go to Europe, you can go to some place closer for that.

Hawaii has both cultural and recreational options, on Oahu in particular (museums, Academy of Art, many restaurant choices, the Windward side with its gorgeous and less crowded beaches).

No not Peru. Besides the dire political situation you also have the cold Humboldt current.

Australia would work, but it needs more than a week. Plenty of warm, sandy beaches here. And ancient & contemporary history.

Bernice, it's not that far when we go to North America & back. Must be one of those "shrinking distance" miracles

And yes ... you have a raft of suggestions already. Is none of them suitable?
