I've been to Greece 4-5 times on short tips but not these two areas yet. (though did see Samos once for a couple of days) This is just solo male travel trip, Mid July, 8-9 days.

I was thinking Skopelos/Skiathos but remembered Lesbos/Chios/Samos could be great too.

As far as vibe/ beauty/ etc anyone here who knows both areas and has a recommendation?

Just googling itineraries of Lesbos and Chios and some say they can spend 8 days just on one island and .. get rental car.

On all my trips on various islands.. I've just been 2-3 days per island and never get car.. I just moped from the main town to little beaches and coves.

Always heard great things about Skopelos/Skiathos but wondering since it's July maybe Lesbos/Chios/Samo would be less crowded/ touristy?
