Best area of Barcelona for an apartment in December

Our pre-Christmas adventure to Paris was so great in 2023.
Barcelona looks like a nice option for the same in 2024.

For me it would be Gracia or Eixample Dreta (right). I would not want to stay in the Barrio Gotico or Ramblas.

I don't think December makes a real difference. You aren't going swimming I guess but otherwise it's the same answer the other eleven months.

Thanks for the info. Looks like you all agree.
Barcelona is definitely on my radar. The only drawback is that I
saw that there are no direct flights from Chicago.
We’ve traveled to Europe enough times to want direct Chicago to ?
I always say “I like being there, wherever that is, but I don’t like getting there”

Fly Iberia from Chicago to Madrid then connect to the short flight to Barcelona on Iberia's "Puente Aéreo".

Thanks for the flight suggestion.
It’s still a work in progress deciding where to go.
