Labor Day is a crowd time for DC...so pace yourself and don't try to see "everything"....a full service and informative place to start is in Reagan Building in downtown DC...has all types booklets...

since you are right near Time Sq...a good visitor center is right near TKS (some theatre tickets 1/2 price) it is in old movie theatre with a great history...ask a a police person. Check the visitor...

I travel a bit around the USA and Miami does seem as if a passport is needed to get around. I tried a few local restaurant that was popular with the locals and go absolutely no help to ordering...
