Thanks for taking the time to give me all of your ideas. what a well-travelled bunch you are!
We have decided…against some of your strong adivce….to just do the drive from Portree to our rental in the Cotswolds (found a great convereted barn through Air BnB) with just one overnight stop. I know, I know it's going to be alot of driving but:
- train or plane was going to cost way too much for 5 of us
- we don't really want to meander throught he northern part of England this trip. We really want to get down south closer to the Costwolds, Stratford-On-Avon, Oxford, etc. This way we will get a few full days to explore and settle into one place.
So, I may come back here in August and say you were all right about the drive! Here's hoping the traffic cooperates, the kids can chill out in the car, and we survive the drive!!
