Road trip Miami to Maine May/June 2016

I guess I don't understand going back to Maine if you only have 3 days and have already been there. From Maine, what...you are flying back to Miami? Seems a better trip would just end in Washington or Philadelphia, no rushing.

Hi clarkgriswold, when we did the New England Trip, Maine was the only state we missed and we really want to spend time in Acadia National Park. Trying to find flights from Bangor back to airport where we can fly direct to London.
However, proving difficult from our end here, so we are looking at just finishing in Washington as you suggest, for two reasons - budget and it will give us an opportunity to visit Maine in the future and explore more of the area.
Many thanks to you all once again.

You can fly nonstop from Boston to Gatwick on Norwegian Air, but they don't fly Mon, Wed or Fridays. From Acadia it's probably easier just to drive to Boston rather than dealing with a flight from Bangor, showing up 90 minutes before flight time, worrying about a delay or missed connection, small cramped plane, etc.
Also, Norwegian flights are pretty inexpensive if you book well in advance.
