Palladium Grand, Paradisus Rivera Cancun or Sunscape?
Traveling in Feb. for 5 days with my 20 y.o, 15y.o and 11 y.o. to the Riviera Maya. Can anyone help with AL decision? We want good service, as good as possible food with AL, great beach and pools, nice rooms and generlly fun atmosphere. Can anyone give me advice on which one is best? Does the location matter? I heard the Paradisus doesn't have the best beach. Any comments/suggestions would be greatly appreciated ASAP!

I can comment on the Sunscape. We stayed there approx. a month ago. My opinions on what you asked about:
Service: Staff was very good and very friendly. We always had acceptable and frequently exceptional service. Tipping was not required but seemed to help ensure this.
Beach: A roped off area for swimming was sandy and had no rocks. There was a floating trampoline. Other areas of the beach were rocky. You could walk along the beach for quite some time in either direction. Beach was raked and cleaned daily. There were no vendors on the beach and no jet ski or parasail vendors. We loved that and did not miss the smell of fuel that comes with them. But perhaps that would be important to your teenagers.
Pool: A long, rectangle shape ranging from approx. 2-5 feet. Great for swimming laps. No slide, fountains, or swim-up bar--if that matters to you.
Rooms: We had a standard room. It was simply decorated but plenty large. Refrigerator stocked daily with water, soda and beer. Standard rooms have (large) showers only.
Food: Best we've had at an AI. (For comparasion, yes, we've been to other AIs but certainly are not experts). We even thought the buffet was miles better than others we have experienced. No reservations required and no limit as to how many times you may eat at the ala carte restaurants. Our favorite was the Mexican. The Italian, Asian and Sushi require long pants/no shorts. I'm not sure if the Italian rest. permits children or what the age requirement is.
It was generally very quiet in the evenings.
We would go back. We did have some bug problems, but I believe that was due to weather. Postings on tripadvisor.com reflect those there after us did not have bugs. Reviews on trip advisor were primarily all positive up until Christmas time. It seems there were some problems then. Other than some days with bugs, we did not have any problems. We had hot water and water pressure every day and we found management to be very visible and accessible. The general manager was always making the rounds on grounds speaking to guests. We liked the relaxed atmosphere--no wristbands needed, no towel cards, etc.
Any more specific questions, just ask.

After much research, I chose the Palladium for our March vacation. Lots of good websites for resort reviews. Try these .... www.ramproductions.com or www.debbiescaribbeanresortreviews or www.tripadvisor.com
