Costa Rica trip in March

I really wanted to go to the Springs Resort and Spa in Arenal for 5 days and then try a beach location by Liberia for 3 days. Any good suggestions? Is it nice in March?
I went several years ago based on suggestions from Fodor's for just only 5 days and it was way to short.
I went to Naraya in Arenal and also Arenas del Mar Hotel in Manuel Antonio and loved the suggestions! They were both outstanding!!!

Thanks,
Krystin

I think you'll really like the Springs Resort and Spa. We liked Nayara too, but the Springs was even better. Their Club Rio area down on the river is really fun; we went tubing and then ate at the little open air restaurant down there - it's beautiful. The weather in March should be pretty hot with very little rain.

We were looking into the RUI Palace resort in Guanacaste for the last 3 days of our trip?

Hi, k - the Riu has a bad reputation for destroying the environment in that area, but I don't have any first hand experience with it. We've kind of avoided it for that reason. I'd expect the Guanacaste area to be really hot and dry that time of year since it tends to be more arid than the rest of the country.

Try looking at something in south Nicoya, like Ylang Ylang Beach Resort near Montezuma. Lots of lovely beach places that aren't impersonal tourist factories like the Rius and Barcelos.
