Costa Rica March 2019. Beach, snorkel, hotel planning HELP

Would like to stay on northwest side of Costa Rica in a resort on beach. We are thinking of flying into Liberia and then spending a few days at Arenal Springs Resort. Hopefully hire a shuttle to head to Tamarindo area for a week. Not sure where to stay. Prefer hotel with beach that is swimmable. Hotel does not have to be luxurious, but clean with decent amenities. No inclusuve hotels. Interested in tours of area sites. We are couple active upper 60’s. Would another area be better for beach?? All ideas appreciated!

We love the Manuel Antonio area for beach. It stays lush and green all year round versus the drier areas up north. Also has a nice national park with a beautiful beach and tons of wildlife like monkeys and sloths, several good open air restaurants in the area. Tulemar Bungalows is our favorite place to stay, and they have their own beach, lots of wildlife on site.

I forgot to mention that Costa Rica isn't very good for snorkeling, so I might save that for going to another place like Belize or Mexico.

When we did it, we couldn't even see each other in the water even though we were right next to each other. It's not that there aren't things to see, but that there's too much sediment in the water. We love the Arenal area, tons to do there - Bogarin Trail to see wildlife, Cano Negro boat tour to see wildlife, Penas Blancas safari float, beautiful natural not springs like Tabacon or Eco Termales, the Mistico Hanging Bridges, the water fall hike, ziplining, white water rafting, cooking classes - it's a great area.

Costa Rica is a good place to rejuvenate. Yes, all types of facilities you can get there as per your requirement. I listened a good tour operator company in Costa Rica. Please visit this site tours.co.cr and can get more info about Places to Stay in Costa Rica and Things to Do in Costa Rica. Hope you will enjoy your dreamed tour.
