Zihuatanejo/Troncones safe for pregnant women?

We have rented a house in Troncones for February and just found out our daughter will be four months pregnant. We believe that this is the dry season and mosquitos will be minimal but what about other health problems? I checked the CDC but they aren't good on seasonal differences. Any comments will be appreciated.

First on the beach in Troncones is virtually mosquito free year round with the Ocean breezes. Restaurants are very health concise in the great majority. The mosquito danger in the area is much more pronounced by stagnate water such a the Canal in Zihua that is a constant bone of contention. Even there it is almost entirely a Rain Season problem.
Be sure & drink only bottle water & all should be fine.

Troncones is great in February, it is the dry season, so mosquitoes are few, mostly at dusk, if at all. It can get down to the low 70's at night so bring a light sweater or long sleeve shirts. Keep in mind that Zihuatanejo and Ixtapa reported no cases of h1n1 (swine flu) virus during the last scare. When you are greeted at airport, every passenger is required to have temperature taken after passing through immigration so they can flag any problems at point of entry, very smart. You should be even safer in a remote area like Troncones. And as last person commented, drink bottled water, bring your own refillable water bottle to refill from larger bottles to limit waste. You are doing the right thing by asking and being careful but no need to be overly concerned. Have a great time in Troncones.
