Xprlor theme park: CAUTION
For those considering a visit to Xplor a few words of warning. They only have four events, plus lunch. The major attraction is the zip lines. This is the only sugnificant activity there and there are problems. They advertise a 300 pound weight limit, but do not have the equiptment to handle large people. It turns out that they have restrictions on waist and leg size. They have two sizes of harnesses for a load window of 212 pounds. You must be at least 88 pounds and not more than 300 pounds to ride. If these harnesses don`t fit correctly they refuse to let you ride, which is fine. The problem is they already have your cash, and offer no refunds. This problem could be easily avoided by publishing waist and leg size requirements, but they are not interested in doing this on their website. I feel strongly that this is a CASH GRAB by them. In my case we booked the trip mainly to zip line, and I check and rechecked the requirements before booking. We had several large members in our party of six, and one was refused. This really spoiled the day for everyone, as we travel together, do things together, and arn`t about to party on, leaving someone behind!!!! The sales manager there said this was for safety reasons, but a refund was in order, and I can`t see any safety reason not refund money if you can`t provide the service. Again, this could have been avoided if they published the true restrictions.
They also advertise that you can do anything as many times as you wish. No true, they were limiting the zip line to one run the day we were there.
The other activities were (1) jungle cars which were just ok. We had more fun at the Isla of Mujeres renting golf carts and exploring the island. (2) Underground river swim which was interesting but far from exciting. (3) Underground raft paddle which was about as much fun as watching metal rust.
Lunch was at best OK.
MY OPINION is this place is certainly NOT worth the price of admission!!!

That's too bad that you didn't enjoy your day at Xplor. My husband and I had a great day when we visited, he's afraid of heights so zip lining was not a thrill for him, yet he still enjoyed his day. Having been to other attractions in the area, we found Xplor to be a great way to spend the day. And while yes, it does make sense that they have safety restrictions on the zip lines, it's too bad you couldn't find them on their website. I know before we went last year I emailed their customer service to find out if our daughter would have to zip tandem or be able to zip alone and they answered us right away. But it's also understandable that they wouldn't refund your money since the zip line is only one part of the attractions they offer.
It's definitely not a place for everyone....too bad you didn't have a good time.

I have traveled quite a bit, and things aren`t always what you expect. My problem is they had this knowledge ahead of time and chose not to share it with potential guest. They chose to advertise the widest restrictions (300 pounds), and not disclose the others (waist and leg size). This was a willful act of deception. They lured you in, and then failed to deliver what they advertised.
