Wild Rider or TriColor: Experiences?
Hello!
I have price quotes from Tricolor and Wild Rider, both pretty close in price. Does anyone have good/bad reviews from using them for a 4x4 rental in CR? Was it fast to get the paperwork done, was the service helpful, are they located close to the airport? (we have an afternoon arrival, so we need to get on the road ASAP to get to Monteverde)
I had a quote from Solid rentals too, but $100 higher than the others. I made sure I asked for rates including taxes, fees, etc.
Thanks for any insight!

We used Tricolor - Liberia office in March for our 4 x 4. Absolutely no problem at all - they were there to meet our flight, office was 10 minutes drive max, price was just as quoted, included everything.
The Liberia airport is much more convenient to fly into if you are going directly to Monteverde.
Hope this helps.

I know Liberia would have been better - but took the SJO flight for the price/flight time, and because we're heading south of MA (either Dominical or Osa - if Osa not driving, but driving if Dominical), we'll make a loop through the central highlands en route back to SJO.

We used Tricolor also out of Liberia, and although their office wasn't very impressive the people were great. He meet us at the airport upgraded us at no cost because the model we had reserved was not there, and there was no hidden charges. Our Visa bill was $248 for the week. A good deal we thought.

I've used Tricolor several times out of SJO & they were great. One time we had driven from SJO to Playa Grande & got a flat tire a few blocks from our hotel. My husband changed the tire & first thing the next morning they had someone from the Liberia office come & give us a new tire. I would definitely recommend them!
