Where to go in Latin America? Help!!

Ok, so here's the deal....

My best friend and I are adventurous 26 year old females and are looking for a new and exciting place to go.

We've travelled all over Europe - used to live in Prague - and feel like we want to see something new. The closest to Latin America I've ever been is Costa Rica and loved it.

We have 10 days total - and are a bit idealiistic about what we can fit in this time frame.

If anyone has had any great experiences and recommendations I'd love to hear them.

We'd like a good mix of fun (beaches) and cities and just great nature.

Thanks a ton!

Oh, and I should say that we're looking at an Oct/Nov time frame.

Thanks!!

Buenos Aires, no beach but it is marvelous and your time frame is perfect.

I agree with the above that BA is wonderful... since you're also interested in nature, you may be able to also work in a trip to Iguazu falls or somewhere in southern Argentina. Since you like beaches, Rio is also a good choice. A vibrant city with lots to see and do, beautiful beaches and fun nightlife.
