Where to go in June for an aniversary celebration trip? Argentina or chile? Or?

Help! My husband and I want to celebrate a special aniversay with a special trip. We have not been to South America and are thinking that would be the spot. We will go in June. what kind of weather would we encounter? Which place to go? we love cities, scenery, museums and food.
Thanks!!

I'd suggest Buenos Aires. It is definitely a city with an urban vibe, yet easy to get around and has some great museums as well as good food. To top it off, it's a bargain destination. Depending on how long you will visit, you may want to consider an apartment but there are also plenty of hotels. If you do a search on this forum for Buenos Aires you will find lots of good info. Weather in June will be cool - it is the beginning of their winter season - bit not freezing.

We fist visited Buenos Aires last year on our anniversary. 2 weeks here were just a taste with plenty of things to do in the city as well as lovely day trips..Music, Tango, shopping, great food, 100 Museums, friendly people ..
It was enough to make up our minds about coming here to live

Hola Seamus

Definitelly to Argentina, it has a lot to see... culture, shopping, amazing sceneries, unique wines, nice people...If you want an unfogettable experience include the NW of Argentina, Salta, Purmamarca, the Salt Flats, Tilcara and Cafayate.
And June is sunny, warm and nice in this area. 100% garantee... There used to be a promotion in the ´80. If you found one completely cloudy day in the Calcahquies Valleys, you could go to a police station and get a paper and the Head Office of tourism gave you the money you spent in fuel or flight back. Nobody got any money... no cloudy days!
Warm regards,
